Frank Vetere (PhD)
My research interests are in Human-Computer Interactions (HCI). I work with colleagues and students to investigate the role of emerging ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) and use this understanding to contribute to the design of useful, usable and satisfying technology.
I am the Director Microsoft Research Centre for Social Natural User Interfaces and I lead the Interaction Design Laboratory in the Department of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne. I am the recipient of the 2011 CHISIG Medal for outstanding service to and promotion of Human-Computer Interaction in Australia.
